Incident Response and Crisis Management

Incident Response Retainer

Contract before the crisis: a committed response time, prepaid response hours, and a responder who already knows your environment.

Overview

A standing agreement establishing the commercial and legal relationship in advance, so that response begins immediately rather than after contracting. The retainer provides a committed response time, a defined block of prepaid response capacity, and a familiar responder who has already reviewed the client's environment, escalation paths, and critical systems. Unused capacity is applied to readiness work, which means the retainer produces value whether or not an incident occurs.

Who it is for

Organizations of every size and stage, including growth-stage companies, established enterprises, and law firms and legal departments acting for their clients.

What you receive

Retainer agreement, environment familiarization, escalation directory, readiness work applied to unused capacity.

How engagements work

Every engagement is scoped individually and conducted under a master services agreement and mutual confidentiality terms. Work begins with a scoping conversation to understand your objectives, constraints, and deadlines, followed by a written statement of work defining scope, deliverables, and timeline. Both parties retain the right to decline an engagement where the fit is not right.
